Areas of Expertise:

  • Environmental assessment

  • Contract management & supervision

  • Local government contract supervision

Qualifications:

BE (Nat Res) Hons, MEngNZ, PG Dip Tech (Energy Management)

Geoff came to CGW in 2003 and is involved in Environmental/Civil Engineering and Construction Supervision.  Since his arrival, he has been involved in a wide range of infrastructure projects, from both a construction supervision role and a design perspective.  These projects, both large and small, have ranged from water treatment plants, both potable and waste water, stormwater upgrades, road and pavement rehabilitations and sewer renewals through to subdivisions, culverts, pipelines, asset assessments, retaining walls and earthworks and many other projects.

Having both a design focus and experience in the practical application of engineering means Geoff is well placed to anticipate issues that may arise during a project or to resolve issues as they become apparent. Geoff’s thoroughness and attention to detail has paid dividends on projects many times over.

Outside of work, Geoff has travelled extensively, spending a number of years backpacking around the world, before settling in Nelson.  Now he is enjoying renovation, decorating and landscaping projects at his home and spending time with his family, although he still gets to indulge his interest for travelling and exploring every now and then.
