Alex joined CGW in 2019 as an engineering geologist based in the Christchurch Office. He has 8 years of experience working across New Zealand and in the United Kingdom on a variety of projects. Alex is born and breed in Christchurch and studied at the University of Canterbury.

Alex’s experience includes geotechnical investigations for residential, roading and commercial structures, environmental studies, and monitoring, ground remediation and slope stability analysis. His work in the UK involved geotechnical investigations for large infrastructure projects including a new high speed railway (HS2). He is working towards gaining his charted engineering geologist status through Engineering New Zealand.

In his spare time Alex enjoys flying gliders and volunteers as a gliding instructor. He also enjoys getting into the outdoors tramping and mountain biking.
